Our expertise in infrastructure includes aviation, highways and bridges, planning and advisory services, ports, rail and transit, tunnels, and water. Want to be part of the creation and construction of our cities? Then the infrastructure team is for you!
We are looking for an adaptable, self-motivated New Graduate Civil Engineering Student, Utilities, who is excellent working both individually, as well as in a team. We need you to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication. A strong attention to detail is essential, as well as having a methodical approach to problem solving. We will expect you to draw on your university and employment experiences to manage your time effectively and to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Support the utility team in identifying existing utilities through record searches and compiling findings into composite utility plan drawings.
- Assist in performing utility conflict assessments for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with utility owners and project stakeholders to communicate potential impacts and support the development of utility relocation strategies.
- Prepare and update design drawings, figures, and technical documentation related to utility design.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to produce integrated design deliverables.
- Provide general support to Senior Engineers and Designers as required.
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering task for infrastructure projects;
- Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables;
- Compilation of design drawings;
- Preparing design submissions and other technical documents;
- Assistance of Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering co-op program;
- In good academic standing;
- Interested in civil engineering as a career;
- Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset;
- Experience with municipal infrastructure
and construction is an asset; - Experience in development of project layout and civil details.
- Familiarity with developing civil layouts, plan/profile drawings, or engineering details is an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation:
Range: $26.00 - $33.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
