Job Duties:
Daily tasks would vary based on the current project, but responsibilities could include:
- Engineering analysis, including modeling using Finite Element Methods;
- Project planning and management to meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements;
- Design optimization and solution development;
- Interfacing with clients and vendors;
- Site visits for project work and result presentation;
- Project opportunities across all Hatch sectors
The Candidate:
We are looking to hire someone within the Structures & Process Equipment Team. The main focus of S&PE is to provide specialized engineering expertise and a first-principles approach to engineering including tools such as Finite Element Analysis and Fitness-for-Service Assessment to Hatch’s clients. Our work is highly diverse, including opportunities to work on unique and challenging projects across all the industries that Hatch serves. We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:
- Excellent academic standing and a demonstrated interest in structural or thermomechanical engineering of industrial equipment;
- Strong fundamentals in theory and application of solid mechanics / dynamics / FEA;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on challenging projects;
- Organizational ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Eagerness to learn new engineering concepts and apply them to novel projects and technology;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Strong safety and quality focus
This job requires heavy interaction with engineers within the S&PE Team and other disciplines, in a team environment to perform detailed engineering analysis.

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000

In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness. Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
