Position Summary

The Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. The role supports the organization's financial operations by ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting with month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify vendor invoices using Readsoft system for accuracy and proper approval.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Involvement with Concur system and employee expense claims
  • Verify banking details independent of invoices.
  • Maintain vendors master data and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
  • Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries.
  • Monitor aged payables and ensure timely payment of obligations.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Readsoft, Concur or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment procedures.
  • Understanding of GST/HST and other applicable tax requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Good command of the English language both spoken and written

 

Base salary range: $55,000 - $80,000
 
At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.
 
 
Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills,
experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package
may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs
designed to support your well-being and growth.
