We are actively seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager – Water & Wastewater for our Mississauga office.  In this role, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of self-reliance and autonomy, although the role will entail working in teams within a collaborative environment, interacting positively with a range of staff and clients.  You will be required to lead and manage project teams in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations linear projects, and other infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, organize and work with technical groups in the delivery of project deliverable requirements;
  • Lead and manage design assignments for medium and large wastewater and water treatment evaluation and design projects;
  • Prepare and oversee development of plans, specifications, reports and other project deliverables;
  • Develop project scopes, budgets and schedules; manage performance of project tasks; adhere to project scope and schedule;
  • Develop and maintain client relations;
  • Provide support to business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation of proposals;
  • Communicate, interact and provide clear support and direction for project team members;
  • Actively participate in, and support internal and external development and training activities;
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering from accredited university;
  • A Master’s degree or Ph.D. will be an asset;
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario;
  • Experience working on and managing large water & wastewater treatment projects and project teams;
  • Strong understand of biological wastewater treatment kinetics;
  • Good understand of conventional and advanced water/wastewater treatment processes;
  • Experience in consulting engineering environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required;
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and process design preferably with municipal systems;
  • Active in professional organizations;
  • Excellent client liaison experience;
  • Innovative and practical customer service and a commitment to technical excellence;
  • Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.

Base salary range: $115,000 - $165,000

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
