Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Rail Engineers to join the Infrastructure group in our Transportation team in the Mississauga location.

Our knowledge of infrastructure includes aviation, highways and bridges, planning and advisory services, ports, rail and transit, tunnels, and water. Want to be part of the creation and construction of our cities? Then the infrastructure team is for you!
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Design track and railway infrastructure in accordance with applicable regulations, laws and standards (ex. MTQ, CP, CN and AREMA).
- Participate in the planning stages, design and construction of a project.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver the project.
- Work with clients to deliver the project.
- Prepare reports on the execution of work and adherence to the schedule.
- Prepare technical specifications and bidding documents and assist in the analysis of bids.
- Manage and lead meetings, produce meeting minutes.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in health and safety on construction sites.
- Perform detailed technical analysis, interpret data, make summaries and draft reports.
- Complete cost estimates and prepare project schedules
- Visit construction sites to ensure the quality of the work and to carry out inspections.
You bring to the role:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in design or construction of track and railway infrastructure.
- Solid experience utilizing Civil 3D.
- Experience in project management of public or private infrastructure projects.
- Technical experience in the planning and design of transit or freight railway infrastructure.
- Ability to work in order to meet cost targets, quality targets and deadlines.
