The SAP SD Functional Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative, business-focused SAP solutions that support our global operations. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to support the SD billing and related processes, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions that drive efficiency, operational excellence, and business value.

 

As a Functional Analyst, you will lead the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules and external systems while identifying opportunities to optimize processes, enhance user experience, and support strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Configure and support SAP SD solutions and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements, architectural standards, and best practices.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solution designs and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and cross-functional teams to assess capabilities, define technical requirements, and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to project planning through solution scoping, effort estimation, status reporting, and proactive risk and issue management.
  • Lead and support all phases of the Solution Delivery Lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, ensuring solution quality, requirement traceability, and successful user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions, enhancements, and continuous improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops, process design sessions, impact assessments, solution demonstrations, and end-user training.
  • Coordinate transport release activities, and production deployments while ensuring operational stability and business continuity.
  • Drive process optimization and recommend innovative SAP solutions that enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and business value.

 

Qualifications: Skills, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in billing and client invoicing processes.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting or configuring ERP billing and invoicing solutions, including SAP Sales & Distribution (SD).
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution, including resource related billing and associated integration with SAP FI/CO, Project Systems (PS), and external applications.
  • Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to manage priorities independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn, with a demonstrated ability to quickly understand new technologies, business processes, and organizational requirements.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that support business objectives.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of EPCM and professional services business processes, including the integration of project systems, time entry, and billing solutions.
  • Experience supporting SAP localizations and regulatory requirements across multiple regions, including South America and Europe.
  • Understanding of SAP ABAP concepts and custom development processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and interfaces, including IDocs, APIs, and middleware platforms.
  • Knowledge of electronic invoicing (e-Invoicing) technologies and solutions, including SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC), Signature XDoc, Gosocket, Mastersaf DFe, and Thomson Reuters.
  • Understanding of SAP tax configuration concepts, including VAT, single-jurisdiction, and multi-jurisdiction tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.

 

Base salary range: $81,000 - $130,000

 

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

 

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include
