Senior Signals Engineer

Hatch is seeking a Signalling Engineer to design and implement complex signalling solutions for major rail and transit projects. The person will join our dynamic team located in our Markham office

 

As the successful candidate, you will: 

 

  • Develop detailed signal design for transit and heavy rail clients in both relay based and microprocessor based signal systems;
  • Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for projects.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Compile and calculate a variety of engineering data.
  • Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc
  • Assist in proposals preparation and estimates in accordance with customer specifications
  • Perform first level detailed check of team members’ designs(Route & Aspects, Electrical, and Schematic)

 

What do you bring to the role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Electromechanical Engineering or related field, from an accredited university;
  • 6+ years of signalling design experience within a consultancy environment;
  • Registered Professional Engineer with PEO or eligible;
  • Experience in design of rail & transit systems such signalling & train control is preferred;
  • Knowledge of signalling principles, circuits, components and the implications of working with other disciplines;
