You will be a part of our Project Delivery Group - Structural, where we ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems.  

 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:  

 

  • Lead a team to ensure effective and successful delivery for various nuclear projects 

  • Prepare staffing estimates, deliverable lists and project schedule 

  • Plan and identify structural engineering resources 

  • Coordinate and manage the execution of activities and report progress 

  • Provide leadership and resolution on technical issues with the structural discipline 

  • Participate in the preparation of specifications, structural analysis and design, calculations, seismic design and evaluation, bill of materials, as well as coordinate with all project team members 

  • Design and analyze general steel, concrete as well as specialized design using nuclear codes and standards applying clients change control process 

  • Participate and contribute to site walkdowns, projects meetings design reviews, disposition, and incorporation of internal and external review comments 

 

You bring to the role:  

  • B.Sc. Civil/Structural Engineering degree from a recognized university 

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, or eligible to obtain 

  • Minimum 12 years of project engineering experience with a focus in nuclear 

  • Experience with the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS) 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of structural engineers and designers on complex nuclear projects 

  • Knowledge and experience of nuclear power plant modification and upgrade design 

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of seismic design and evaluation of nuclear power plant structures, systems and components  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • The ability to coordinate within multidisciplined teams 

  • Experience with STAAD pro, Ansys and SAP2000 

  • Seismic capability engineer certified by Seismic Qualification Utility Group (SQUG) is preferred 

  • Must be able to obtain Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) security clearance.  

 

Compensation: $115,000 - $165,000

In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness. Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
