Hatch is currently seeking highly motivated Transit Engineers to join our Transit team in the Mississauga location.

 

Our team is working on the leading edge of the most exciting transit expansion our community has had the opportunity to benefit from for many years.  We are currently leading multi-billion-dollar subway expansions, commuter rail expansion and have an exceptional backdrop of deep routed history of project success in the GTHA and globally.

 

We pride ourselves on having all required transit delivery sectors represented right from our global headquarters in Mississauga, from track, civil, systems, M&E to structures, tunnels and stations all integrated and working seamlessly to deliver world class next generation assets for the end user, our clients, and commuters alike.

 

As the successful candidate, you will have a passion for excellence and experience in the following areas:

  • Design track and railway infrastructure in accordance with applicable regulations, laws and standards (ex. MX, CP, CN and AREMA); 
  • Design of DTM models, horizontal and vertical alignments, creation of assemblies and corridors;
  • Participate in the planning stages, design and construction of major transit projects. 
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and multi-disciplinary design teams; 
  • Assign and review the technical design work of junior engineers; 
  • Prepare reports on the execution of work and adherence to quality and schedule; 
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in health and safety on construction sites; 
  • Perform detailed technical analysis, interpret data, and prepare reports. 
  • On occasion, visit construction sites as necessary to ensure compliance with design for certification.
  • Mentor and develop our growing group of graduates alongside other mentors and help set targets and goals for development

 

You bring to the role:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil, Transportation or Railway Engineering.
  •  4 to 8 years of professional experience in design of railway infrastructure
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the Province of Ontario or working towards licensure
  • Solid experience working with Civil 3D software
  • Technical experience in the planning, design and execution of transit   projects
