As the successful candidate, you will:
- Support and lead the planning, design, and construction services for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare and review process mechanical designs, equipment layouts, piping systems, and technical specifications.
- Participate in condition assessments, feasibility studies, master plans, and detailed design assignments.
- Perform equipment selection, hydraulic evaluations, process mechanical calculations, and technical analyses.
- Coordinate with process, structural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.
- Assist project managers in delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and presentations with clients, regulators, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Provide construction support services, including shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, site inspections, commissioning support, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to technical proposals, business development activities, and client relationship management initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and EITs and support their technical development.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve project execution, innovation, sustainability, and operational performance.
You bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience specializing in wastewater treatment process mechanical design.
- Registered as Professional Engineer with PEO or eligible to obtain is required.
- Experience developing engineering drawings, technical specifications, contract documents, and design calculations.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pumping systems, solids handling equipment, and process mechanical systems.
- Experience with equipment selection, piping design, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and facility layouts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while contributing to collaborative project environments.
- Construction, commissioning and field experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with process and hydraulic modelling, pilot testing, , and optimization studies is considered an asset.
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
