Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Green Hydrogen Specialist to join our team in the Mississauga or Montreal location.You will work as part of Hatch Hybrid Power Generation & Microgrid unit and report directly to the unit Senior Manager.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead/Project Manage hybrid power, microgrid, energy storage and green hydrogen assignments for client projects at various development stage from conception, feasibility to implementation
  • As Project Engineer
    • Main interface with clients during assignments
    • Coordinate the engineering team (electrical and civil) to deliver quality project
    • Prepare studies (trade-off, modelling, pre-feasibility and feasibility)
  • Contribute to the team thought Leadership building via development of cutting-edge knowledge and tool
  • Support business development by engaging with prospective clients, preparing proposals, participate to conferences

 

 Qualifications: 

  • Engineering degree (electrical preferred) with 5 to 10 years of pertinent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrogen production/electrolizer projects
  • Experienced with hybrid power system (e.g. diesel+wind/solar+battery)
  • Ability to perform feasibility studies
  • Experienced with project execution
  • Proven track-record in proposal development, client engagement and business development
  • Excellent communicating skills for technical knowledge information
  • Excellent written skills
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Experience in hybrid power modeling within Excel, Homer and/or Matlab and simulation result interpretation.
  • Experience and proven ability in Project Management
  • HSE oriented
  • Autonomous, team player, kick learner and entrepreneurial spirits
  • The candidate will have to travel occasionally for project related purposes and to meet clients at their offices or at conferences.
  • Passionate in development and implementation alternative power, fuel, technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emission for our client
