The High-Pressure Metallurgy Group is part of the Base Metals division within Hatch. The group is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of autoclaves used globally for the recovery of minerals such as gold, nickel, uranium, and other precious metals.

 

Title: Jr. Piping Designer - Mississauga

Position Summary:  

 

Hatch is seeking a Mechanical Technologist (Piping) with an interest in Mining and Metals reporting to HPM Piping Design Lead, you will support projects globally, working from our Mississauga Head Office.

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Development of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment
  • Preparation of and updates to project deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and pipe isometric drawings
  • General Arrangement drawings of piping and plant layouts
  • Development of piping and plant layouts for various industrial processes

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Must be working towards graduating in 2023, or recently graduated, with an undergraduate or graduate Discipline(s) Engineering degree Mechanical Technology Program at an accredited College

  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
