The Hatch 2019 Graduate Program is a global Hatch initiative aimed at engineering and technical excellence. It has been developed to facilitate the management of professional career development during the initial years. The program provides a flexible framework in which to achieve Chartered Professional status, and importantly, allows individuals to meet both personal and professional goals.

 

Hatch is currently seeking a Digital Solutions Graduate interested in developing a technical career in the consulting field. As part of our collaborative and inclusive Digital team you will work out of the Perth office to assist in the provision of technology-related systems, services and solutions to support clients on the path towards digital transformation. Our strength is in our knowledge, processes, technology and products to achieve robust, optimised, intelligent solutions for our clients. We are a team that likes to experiment and solve complex problems to deliver commercially sound outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in a high-performing team creating advanced digital solutions with operations-specific focus, e.g., integrated control automation of heavy equipment for the mining industry, this includes:
  • Contribute to the synthesis of new ideas and proof-of-concepts by working closely with client representatives and Hatch subject matter experts
  • Capture, analyse and validate requirements with appropriate stakeholders to engineer robust and relevant solutions
  • Design and develop software in a multitude of platforms including Industrial controller systems (e.g. PLC’s, vendor specific HMI’s), server applications (e.g. C#), database centric software (e.g. SQL), user interface development (e.g. web/javascript) and cloud (e.g. Azure).
  • Perform validation activities to ensure solutions meet the required high-quality standards
  • Provide on-site commissioning and ongoing offsite support (e.g. root cause analysis) for these solutions
