Expediting Lead

As Expediting Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of materials and equipment across complex projects. Leading the expediting function, you will drive supplier performance, oversee delivery schedules and provide the visibility needed to keep projects on track. Working closely with procurement, engineering, logistics and project teams, you will proactively identify risks, resolve supply chain challenges and implement strategies that support safe, cost-effective and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead expediting activities across project procurement packages to ensure materials and equipment are delivered in line with project schedules.
• Develop and implement expediting strategies, plans and priorities to support project objectives.
• Monitor supplier engineering, manufacturing and delivery performance, identifying and mitigating schedule risks.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to expeditors and wider procurement team members.
• Establish strong relationships with suppliers, clients and project stakeholders to drive accountability and performance.
• Ensure accurate reporting of expediting activities, progress updates and delivery forecasts.
• Coordinate with quality, logistics and project controls teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
• Facilitate proactive resolution of supplier performance issues, non-conformances and potential delays.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.

About You
You are an experienced expediting, procurement or supply chain professional with a strong understanding of project delivery within mining, energy, infrastructure or industrial environments. You have a proven ability to manage supplier performance, navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive outcomes in time-critical project settings. With excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills, you can confidently lead expediting activities, influence stakeholders at all levels and ensure project commitments are achieved. Exposure to manufacturing processes, materials management, logistics and quality management systems will be highly regarded, along with relevant technical, trade or tertiary qualifications.
