Hatch’s National Highways & Bridges team is seeking a highly driven professional to lead our Highways team in Perth supporting our growing Infrastructure business.
You will be responsible for leading technical aspects of roads and highways projects for public and private sector clients, whilst working to build Hatch’s pipeline of projects.
You will bring a strong technical and project delivery acumen whilst having demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams within similar organisations.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Support and develop the Highways team in Western Australia working with our Delivery Practices to support both client-side design development and contractor delivery projects
- Maintain close client relationships and focus on delivering work to an excellent standard, in line with client expectations
- Deliver, manage and/or oversee a range of projects related to roads, highways and other linear infrastructure projects
- Provide technical support guidance to personnel in the field of highways design, civil design and/or drainage
- Collaborate with interstate leads to manage our transport projects portfolio across Australia
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture that gets the best out of our people.
Essential
- Current work rights in Australia
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Engineering or Civil Design
- 10+ years’ professional experience in civil engineering or civil design with a focused experience in highways and linear infrastructure design
- Proven design delivery experience on Major Projects
- Be a motivated, results-driven engineering professional who thrives working in a team.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills including the preparation of technical documents
- A track record of participating in complex multidisciplinary projects
- Experience working on Main Roads WA projects and familiarity with Main Roads WA standards and practices
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards in current engineering and construction principles, methods and practices.
Desirable
- Chartered status or professional registration is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience and interest in client relationship management
- Software proficiency in 12D or OpenRoads.
