Looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Junior Environmental Specialist to support the delivery of construction-phase projects, working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure environmental compliance and reporting requirements are met. This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build hands-on experience across environmental compliance, construction support, and field-based project environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and review environmental field data and prepare monitoring reports for clients and regulators
  • Liaise with engineering teams on environmental design criteria and known constraints
  • Maintain environmental registers and compliance tracking systems
  • Support the review and implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
  • Assist in responding to contractor queries across multiple project work packages
  • Support environmental inductions and ongoing site awareness initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and site efficiency
  • Assist in updating environmental procedures, documentation, and contribute to lessons learned

 

About You
You hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, with 0–7 years’ experience across environmental, construction, or infrastructure projects. You have a sound understanding of environmental management principles and compliance systems, strong attention to detail, and well-developed reporting skills. Exposure to construction or field-based environments is highly regarded, and you are motivated to build your capability in environmental compliance within a project delivery setting.
