Hatch are seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join our Quality team and lead quality assurance and control across operations, engineering, and project delivery across Australia-Asia. This is a hands-on, influential role for a quality professional who thrives on compliance, continuous improvement, and driving ISO 9001 within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. As a Quality Lead you will be managing and overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and completions activities across multiple projects. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring successful handover of projects. 

 

About the Role
Reporting to our Regional Quality Manager AUA and working closely with Business Unit and Practice Managers you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Supporting project delivery and operations with the development of Project and Contract specific quality assurance and control processes such as Quality Management Plans and Quality Audits programs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams on quality standards and best practices. 
  • Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality and completion issues. 
  • Conduct quality audits and reviews to verify compliance with ISO 9001 standard and Hatch procedures
  • Leading and maintaining ISO 9001 certification and audits in the AUA region.
  • Strengthening existing QA/QC processes, plans, and reporting across the business.
  • Partnering with Project teams to ensure consistent quality outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues. 
  • Supporting the internal Quality Audit schedule and external ISO or client Audits / reviews.

 

What you will bring to the role:

You will bring a strong background in Quality across construction, mining, engineering, or consulting environments, along with a solid understanding of various engineering disciplines. You hold, at minimum, Internal Auditor qualifications and demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities, enabling you to effectively influence others and resolve quality-related issues. Your excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills support high-quality outcomes, and formal qualifications in Quality Management such as Lead Auditor certification to ISO 9001, would be highly regarded.
