Join our Perth office as a Senior Planner and take the lead in delivering planning and scheduling excellence on major projects. In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of planning, including execution, schedule maintenance, change management, progress measurement, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll mentor and guide a skilled planning team, fostering collaboration and ensuring the project stays on track.
You will establish planning baselines, conduct risk analysis, and integrate input from clients, contractors, and stakeholders to keep schedules accurate and resilient. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, you’ll monitor progress, identify trends, and provide timely, insightful reports to support informed decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and scheduling activities across major projects.
- Develop and maintain project execution schedules, including baselines and updates.
- Perform schedule risk analysis and manage change processes.
- Measure progress, forecast trends, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide planning team members to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate schedules.
- Prepare logic diagrams, critical path networks, and bar charts for detailed construction schedules.
About You
- Strong, demonstrated leadership and team-player qualities.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in an execution project environment (EPC) with expertise in:
- Execution planning
- Schedule quantitative risk analysis
- Schedule maintenance and change management
- Progress measurement, evaluation, trending, forecasting, and reporting
- Hands-on experience with planning tools and techniques, including Primavera P6.
- Experience in high-value, multi-discipline EPCM projects from inception to close-out.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for conveying technical information.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and lead others.
- Flexibility to travel to site or other project offices.
