Do you want the opportunity to work on a diverse range of infrastructure, energy, resources and urban development projects? Hatch is seeking a mid-career consultant to support the growth of its projects across Australia and globally. Based in Perth, this position will work within our Environment, People and Place team, supporting the delivery of social procurement, stakeholder and community engagement, sustainability and social value services across major projects.

 

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Develop and implement social procurement, local content and Indigenous participation initiatives across major projects.
  • Work with procurement, contracts and project teams to embed social procurement requirements into project delivery.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on social procurement, workforce participation and supplier diversity outcomes.
  • Collect and interpret project performance data to support compliance, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Support supplier engagement, industry briefings and capability-building activities.
  • Assist in the delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and client-facing documentation.
  • Contribute to social value assessments, ESG initiatives and sustainability reporting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including procurement, engineering, environment, sustainability and planning disciplines.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation initiatives and AUA and global Environment, People and Place activities.

 

This role is ideally suited to a mid-career professional with approximately 5-10 years of experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who are building technical expertise in one or more of our focus areas and are passionate about delivering positive social outcomes through project delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, along with a high level of attention to detail. They will be able to manage competing priorities, build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, and collaborate successfully within multidisciplinary teams. Experience or familiarity with the following areas will be highly regarded:

 

  • Social procurement frameworks and reporting requirements.
  • Indigenous participation and supplier diversity programs.
  • Stakeholder and community engagement planning and delivery.
  • Social impact and social value assessment methodologies.
  • ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Local content reporting systems and compliance requirements.
  • Major project delivery, procurement or contractor management environments.
