Underground Mining Engineer

We are currently seeking an Underground Mining Engineer to join our Mining team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering mining studies and projects across a range of underground mining operations. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise across the full project lifecycle while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and mining professionals.

Working closely with clients and project teams, you will contribute to the development of practical and value-driven solutions that support safe, productive, and efficient underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the delivery of underground mining studies, technical assessments, and project work across a variety of commodities and mining methods.
• Assist with mine design, mine planning, production scheduling, and equipment selection activities.
• Provide technical input into underground mining operations, mobile equipment, materials handling systems, and mine infrastructure.
• Support feasibility studies, trade-off assessments, and engineering evaluations to identify practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation to support study and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mining solutions into broader project outcomes.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality technical outcomes.
• Promote a strong commitment to health, safety, sustainability, and risk management throughout all stages of project delivery.

About You:

• Degree-qualified in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working within underground mining environments with a sound understanding of underground mining operations.
• Knowledge of underground mining equipment, mine infrastructure, maintenance practices, or operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience contributing to mining studies, technical evaluations, project delivery, or operational support activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical and value-driven solutions.
• Effect;;ive communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
