Hatch currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Construction Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for executing project assignments, coordinating and managing engineering and construction services and ensuring the projects are completed on time and on budget. Lead assigned projects and ensure the client is satisfied with scope of work and schedule. Oversee construction management services for water and sewer projects including construction and rehabilitation of water treatment and storage facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Contract administration: manage submittals, RFIs, contractor payment applications, and punchlists
• Conduct meetings and prepare meeting minutes
• Assist with field planning and oversight
• Use of web based systems contract administration systems
• Provide construction phase quality assurance.
• Ensure adherence and enforcement of the Contract Documents.
• Lead a time of inspectors, project engineers, safety and project controls professionals.
• Provide constructability reviews.
• Provide  construction cost estimates.
• Manage project budgets – internal and external.
• Manage client interface – the CM will be the first point of contact with the client for their project.
• Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals to win new work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but other degrees will also be considered.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are a plus.
• +10 years’ experience in water and sewer construction working for either a contractor or  CM firm.
•  Desired skills:

• proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Contract Administration software systems 
• strong financial management skills
• strong organization and leadership skills
• knowledge of heavy civil construction techniques and methods
• strong client interface and management skils
