Hatch is seeking a Nuclear Engineering Intern. Reporting to the Energy group, you will support offices globally working from our Pittsburgh, PA office location.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering
  • Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

 

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Solve challenging problems pertaining to nuclear energy technologies and power generating systems 
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment 
  • Actively participate in the creation of the deliverables, technical reports, and presentations to clients 
  • Assist in the research and development of energy technologies
  • Gain valuable on-site practical experience

 

You bring to the role:

  • Willingness to travel and work onsite (including remote locations)
  • Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred

  • Perform assignments related to your sector
  • Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
  • Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
  • Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
  • Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed
