Hatch is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern in their Systems Engineering Practice who will support projects globally out of our Pittsburgh office.

 

You will:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Systems Engineering which covers the full lifecycle of infrastructure development from concept to commissioning to asset replacement. 
  • Coordination with specialists and engineers and related disciplines to produce integrated design deliverables
  • Assistance to senior systems engineering professionals and designers as and when needed
  • Contribute to overall needs for project completion

 

Education and Experience:

  • Must be working towards graduating with an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • In good academic standing
  • Interested in Systems A
  • Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset
  • Knowledge or summer student experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects, will be an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction
  • Attributes of a young professional
  • Interested in innovation, sustainability, safety and quality

  • Perform assignments related to your sector.
  • Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects.
  • Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
  • Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
  • Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.
