In Saudi Arabia, we work closely with government entities and regulatory bodies to support major projects and national initiatives aligned with Vision 2030. We are seeking a Government Relations Officer to ensure compliance with local regulations, streamline government processes, and maintain strong relationships with key authorities. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Regulatory Compliance & Government Engagement 

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Hatch and government authorities, handling official communications, documentation, and approvals. 

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with ministries and regulatory bodies to facilitate company operations. 

  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise internal teams on requirements and potential impacts. 

Licensing & Corporate Documentation 

  • Manage and maintain all company licenses, registrations, and certificates with local authorities, ensuring timely renewals. 

  • Prepare, review, and submit necessary documentation to government agencies with accuracy and efficiency. 

Visa, Iqama & Workforce Compliance 

  • Oversee visa, work permit, and iqama processes for employees, including onboarding, renewals, transfers, and amendments. 

  • Manage all workforce related transactions through government platforms such as Qiwa, Muqeem, Absher, GOSI, and Mudad. 

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labor law, Saudization requirements, and all applicable regulations. 

Policy & Internal Coordination 

  • Develop and update internal procedures for licensing, visas, and government interactions. 

  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Project teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. 

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to support compliance and audits. 

  • Maintain client portals with accurate information and coordinate requests and initiatives.  

Stakeholder & Issue Management 

  • Support the resolution of employee-related government cases, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and internal policies related to government cases, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and internal policies.   • Identify risks and challenges related to government processes and propose proactive solutions. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Saudi national with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Law, Political Science, or a related field. 

  • Experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role within engineering, construction, consulting, or corporate environments. 

  • Strong knowledge of Saudi governmental systems, labor laws, and regulatory processes. 

  • Experience managing visa and iqama processes and using government portals such as Qiwa, Muqeem, Absher, and GOSI. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
