Our Technologies team commercializes and delivers technologies across all three of Hatch's sectors: Metals, Energy, Infrastructure. We're a team of innovators and problem solvers who deliver custom and specialized engineering to deliver novel solutions and technologies.
We are looking for an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Network Engineer (I,II,III) to join our ICT team and support our global operations. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our ICT systems and devices. You will also have the opportunity to work on various projects and initiatives to enhance our ICT capabilities and services.
You will need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset. You will be part of a varied and skilled team of ICT professionals, who will support and advise you on your career development.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide escalated support to end-users on ICT issues and requests, such as hardware, software, network, and cloud services.
• Install, configure, and update infrastructure systems and services.
• Monitor and maintain the performance and security of systems and services.
• Assist with the implementation and testing of new solutions and upgrades.
• Document and update procedures, policies, and manuals, and maintain accurate records of assets and inventory.
• Provide feedback on operational improvements.
• Support stakeholders on ad hoc projects that require ICT resources for completion.
• Review and keep up to date on ICT trends and developments and bring knowledge of these to the appropriate forum.
• Support practices and procedures that ensure data protection and security practices are of the highest possible standard.
• Work collaboratively with other teams in providing support, troubleshooting and maintenance of systems.
• Participate in regularly scheduled after-hours monthly maintenance windows to perform system firmware/software patching and/or infrastructure updates that requires system downtime outside of business hours.
• Provide support to other regional locations of the company, which may also require a time-shift of working hours in order to accommodate.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large or global enterprise company, with the following skills:
• TCP/IP networking
• Network Switching and Routing Technologies
• Microsoft Windows Server technologies
• Hyper-V
• Azure Cloud Technologies such as Entra, Azure Power Platform
The following skills would be of benefit.
• HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) Hardware
• Aruba Wireless
• Microsoft Office 365 Administration
• Knowledgeable in technology such as PowerShell scripting, batch files and scheduling tools
• Demonstrate an understanding of disaster recovery and backup technologies
• Proficiency with writing, communication and presentation of technical concepts
• Project Management skills (communications, estimating, scheduling and reporting)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Customer-oriented and problem-solving attitude, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies, and to adapt to changing ICT needs and demands.
