At Hatch, we're passionately committed to the pursuit of a better world through positive change. We are currently seeking a Tailings Operations Specialist to support the growth and implementation of our digital tailings solutions across global mining operations.

In this role, you will combine your expertise in tailings management, mining operations, and digital transformation to help clients improve governance, risk management, monitoring, decision-making, and operational performance. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and product teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, lead implementations, and deliver measurable value across the entire client journey.

This role is an opportunity to help transform how mining companies manage one of their most important operational and governance responsibilities. The successful candidate will bring tailings expertise, commercial judgment and implementation leadership to clients across South America and globally, helping Hatch turn digital product capability into safer, more effective and more transparent tailings operations. 

What You'll Do

• Partner with mining clients to identify operational challenges and develop digital transformation opportunities.
• Support business development activities, proposals, client engagements, and pursuit strategies.
• Lead tailings operations transformation initiatives, helping clients improve governance, monitoring, assurance, and performance.
• Drive successful implementation of digital tailings solutions, from planning and deployment through adoption and value realization.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions with site, corporate, and executive teams.
• Collaborate with global consulting, product, and implementation teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide market and operational insights to support product strategy and future product enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with mining stakeholders across South America and globally.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in tailings management, mine operations, mine waste, water management, geotechnical governance, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of tailings facility operations, governance, monitoring, and risk management.
• Experience leading operational transformation, technology adoption, or large-scale implementation programs in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders and develop practical, value-driven solutions.
• Strong business development, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English. Portuguese is considered an asset.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders in a global environment.
