Hatch is currently seeking an Intermediate Engineer interested in developing a technical career in the consulting field. As part of our collaborative and inclusive Digital team you will work out of the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office to assist in the provision of technology-related systems, services and solutions to support clients on the path towards digital transformation. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in a high-performing team creating advanced digital solutions with operations-specific focus, (e.g., integrated control automation, orchestration and optimization of heavy equipment for the mining industry), this includes:
    • Contributing to the synthesis of new ideas and proof-of-concepts by working closely with client representatives and Hatch subject matter experts to develop solutions to improve client productivity through the optimization and orchestration of heavy equipment in ports, underground and open pit mining applications
    • Capture, analyze and validate requirements with appropriate stakeholders to engineer robust and relevant solutions
    • Design and develop software in a multitude of platforms including Industrial controller systems (e.g. PLC’s, vendor specific HMI’s), server applications (e.g. C#), database centric software (e.g. SQL), user interface development (e.g. web/javascript) and cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS).
    • Provide on-site integration, commissioning and acceptance and ongoing offsite support (e.g. root cause analysis) for these solutions
    • Perform validation activities to ensure solutions meet the required high-quality standards
