Are you passionate about project planning and driving successful outcomes? Join our team as a Senior Planner, where you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring progress is tracked, and mentoring a talented planning team. We are looking for Senior Planners to be based from our Saskatoon, Missisauga and Calgary offices.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Lead Project Planning: Develop and maintain the master project schedule to meet objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor planners/schedulers, ensuring they have the tools and skills to succeed.
  • Safety First: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Schedule Development: Create and refine detailed schedules, identify critical paths, and set baselines.
  • Monitor & Report: Track progress, generate reports, and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage vendor and contractor schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Change Management: Update schedules and address impacts when changes occur.
  • Progress Measurement: Calculate earned value and monitor project performance.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years in a managerial role + 5–8 years as a planner in multi-discipline projects
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of project management principles
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Familiarity with estimating, tendering, and risk management

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
