Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Structural Designer new graduate to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG). Reporting to the Structural discipline lead Engineer, you will support projects globally working from our Sudbury, ON office with opportunities in other Hatch offices and at project job sites.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Assist in producing and maintaining technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Support conceptual layout work and development of design details
  • Perform clash detection and ensure coordination with other disciplines
  • Participate in formal design review processes
  • Verify site conditions and dimensions as required
  • Incorporate safety considerations into design work
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project scope, schedule, and quality requirements

 

You bring to the role: 

  • Graduating 2026 or recently graduated from an accredited technical College program specializing in Civil / Structural design
  • Awareness and some experience of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages
  • Some background understanding of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to structural design
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated individual with an interest in developing and growing their technical skills
  • Interest in applying the skills developed during their technical education
  • Good safety awareness

  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.

Compensation:

Range: $62,000 - $65,000

 

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
