Your role

As part of the mechanical and infrastructure team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of fuel handling and storage systems, supporting both early-stage concepts and detailed engineering.

You will play a key role in translating engineering requirements into high-quality, buildable designs, while collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and field teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to the layout and detailed design of fuel handling and storage facilities
  • Support both preliminary and detailed engineering phases
  • Ensure designs meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards

2. Modeling & Drawing Production

  • Prepare and update general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, and design sketches
  • Develop 3D piping models and coordinate with other disciplines
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all deliverables in line with Hatch standards
  • Maintain organized and traceable drawing records

3. Field Integration & Validation

  • Participate in field reviews and site visits to validate existing conditions
  • Incorporate field data into designs to ensure constructability and accuracy
  • Collaborate with site teams to resolve design challenges

4. Project & Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated designs
  • Support the preparation of engineering deliverables and contract documentation
  • Contribute to meeting project timelines and deliverable milestones
  • Participate in continuous improvement of design processes and tools

What you bring

  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology / CAD / Drafting
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or infrastructure design
  • Strong experience with Autodesk tools (Plant 3D, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience in 3D piping modeling
  • Understanding of pumping systems, piping networks, and industrial layouts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach

Nice to have

  • Experience in fuel handling and storage systems
  • Exposure to aviation or industrial terminal projects
  • Civil 3D or AutoTurn experience
  • Site or construction interface experience
