Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Civil Site Development team, supporting major energy and mining projects across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Lead civil design teams to deliver projects involving:

Bulk earthworks
-
Site grading and drainage
-
Mine and plant access/haul roads
- Tailings and other earth structures
-

Support business development by identifying opportunities and strengthening client relationships

Prepare technical proposals, reports, and design documentation
-
Take ownership of civil discipline deliverables for assigned project scopes
-
Collaborate with project managers and multi‑disciplinary teams
-
Conduct QA/QC reviews of designs, drawings, and calculations
-
Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers
-
Travel to project sites and other offices as required
What You Bring
-
Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution
-
10+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within mining and/or energy
-
Strong understanding of engineering design processes and relevant civil design software
-
Demonstrated capability in:

Bulk earthworks
-
Site development and grading
-
Stormwater drainage design
-
Access and haul roads
-
Earth and tailings structures
-
-
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes
-
Strong leadership skills with experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including client interaction
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-
Experience in power or energy infrastructure projects (advantageous)
