As an Urban Designer you will get to work on diverse projects spanning place visions and strategies, master plans, new communities, redevelopment plans, mobility and public domain strategies and place activations including local, interstate, and international projects.
Specific tasks include:
- Assist with developing design led options/ solutions to achieve project objectives
- Produce high quality and compelling communication of analysis, ideas and proposals through 2D and 3D graphics, digital and sketch graphics, written reports and presentations
- Assist with visioning, design and planning workshops and presentations.
- Liaise with client, government and industry representatives to achieve successful outcomes for our projects.
Specific role requirements:
- Working toward or possess bachelor qualifications in urban design, architecture or related built environment design discipline (essential) and/ or post-graduate urban design qualification (preferred)
- A strong understanding of urban design, place-making and built form principles, theories, case studies and best practice.
- Excellent 2D and 3D digital design, graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills using Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, SketchUp, and ability to learn Lumion
- Current right to live and work in Australia (i.e permanent residency or citizenship)
