The Hatch Student Vacation Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.

 

As part of the Urban Solutions team, you will gain exposure to urban design, planning, placemaking, economics, and stakeholder engagement activities across a diverse range of projects. You will contribute to initiatives that promote socioeconomic and environmental sustainability through innovative planning, design, and policy solutions in both domestic and international contexts. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of urban planners, designers, placemakers, and economists, you will help create vibrant, sustainable communities that enhance quality of life and deliver commercially successful outcomes for our clients. As part of Hatch's global Urban Solutions practice, you will also gain exposure to expertise spanning urban design, urban economics, climate change, transit-oriented development, infrastructure delivery, and mobility.

You bring to the role:

 

You will be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Property Economics, or a related built environment discipline, with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborative problem-solvers with the ability to think laterally, analytically, and innovatively. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and be committed to creating positive change.
